Troop 103

Welcome to Troop 103 of Arcadia, CA. We are under the San Gabriel Valley District and Greater Los Angeles Area Council (GLAAC).

We are a “Brother-Sister Troop” and the boy’s troop has been in existence since 1929. Our girl troop is in its inaugural year in 2023 and we are thrilled to offer a coed troop for all Scouts.

Our goal is to build character, citizenship, as well as mental and physical fitness. To accomplish these aims we use the patrol method – scouts leading scouts under the guidance of the adults. The scouts learn camping skills and team-work along with personal growth and leadership development. One of the major differences between Cub Scouts and Scouts is the very important E.D.G.E method (Explain, Demonstrate, Guide and Enable) through which scouts engage in leadership development. In order to teach leadership, you have to let the scouts lead.

We are a very active troop with outings ranging from day hikes, backpacking trips, community service projects, and bi-weekly meetings on Sunday nights.
